The staff at the front desk was wonderful but the rooms had real problems. The bathtubs were not clean and worst of all almost all the rooms we booked had fleas in them. Don't let the site pictures fool you-looks can be deceiving.

Days Inn Abilene

No one here knows customer service. At check-in, the lady who had taken my reservation during the week was at the desk, and she was kind of nice. But you could tell she didn't want to be working at 1:30 A.M. Two days of dealing with various clerks did not make it any better. At check-out, Janie was awful. I was traveling with my handicapped grandmother and needed to check out later due to our ride being detained. She told me that I needed to leave the room if I had checked out and come sit in the (not very comfortable) lobby (from where I'm typing this review). I always choose the Holiday Inn Express next door. I made a mistake and opted for a cheaper hotel this time. Never again, not here!

Courtesy of staff at the front desk was above average. Breakfast area staff was superior. Breakfast facility and food offerings were average. The room was average overall, but the closet space was woefully inadequate for two adult professionals. USA Today was always at the door by 5:00 AM. Unfortunately, the housekeeping was below average. Not enough attention was paid to ensuring availability of shampoo and bath soap and replacing water cannister liner.

The shower was fantastic. Lots of pressure from the water and big, very big showerhead. Also loved the free wireless internet hook-up.
